Welcome to Teacher Sub Hub. These Terms of Service govern your use of our platform. Please read them carefully. By accessing or using Teacher Sub Hub, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
Teacher Sub Hub is an online marketplace that connects schools needing substitute teachers and permanent teaching staff with qualified educators in South Africa.
The platform facilitates:
Teacher Sub Hub acts as a facilitator only — we do not employ teachers, hire teachers on behalf of schools, or handle payments between parties. All bookings and hiring decisions are made directly by schools and teachers.
Schools must maintain an active subscription to use the Teacher Sub Hub platform. The current subscription cost is R749 per month.
Teacher Sub Hub accepts EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) payment only. No credit card or other payment methods are accepted. Schools are responsible for initiating EFT transfers on time to maintain active access to the platform.
Schools set the daily rate offered to substitute teachers for each booking request. Teacher Sub Hub does not determine, regulate, or control these rates. Schools are responsible for setting rates that are fair and competitive.
Schools are responsible for paying substitute teachers directly via EFT, based on invoices generated by teachers through the platform. Teacher Sub Hub does not process, hold, or facilitate these payments. Payment disputes between schools and teachers are the responsibility of the parties involved.
⚠️ Teacher Sub Hub is not a party to school-teacher financial transactions. Schools must ensure all payments to teachers are made promptly and in full, as agreed.
Teacher registration on Teacher Sub Hub is free. Teachers must hold a valid SACE (South African Council for Educators) registration certificate and must be in good standing with SACE to use the platform.
Teachers have full discretion to accept or decline booking requests from schools. No penalty or consequence applies for declining. Teachers should respond to booking requests within a reasonable timeframe.
Teachers are paid directly by schools via EFT, based on invoices they generate through the Teacher Sub Hub invoice generator. Teacher Sub Hub does not handle, process, or hold teacher payments. Teachers are responsible for:
💡 Teacher Sub Hub does not store banking details. Teachers provide their banking information directly on invoices they generate. Keep your banking information up to date in your profile for use on invoices.
Schools may post permanent, fixed-term, and part-time teaching vacancies on the platform at no additional cost (beyond their monthly subscription). Teacher Sub Hub does not vet, approve, or endorse job postings.
Teachers apply for vacancies at their own discretion. All applications and hiring decisions are made directly between the school and the teacher. Teacher Sub Hub is not involved in hiring, interviews, or contract negotiations.
Teacher Sub Hub is not responsible for hiring decisions, employment contracts, or disputes arising from job vacancies. Schools and teachers are solely responsible for:
The platform is simply a listing and application medium. Schools must conduct their own due diligence before hiring.
All users must provide accurate, truthful information on their profiles and communications. Misleading or fraudulent information is strictly prohibited. Teacher Sub Hub reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts for breaches of this rule.
Teacher Sub Hub complies with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) of South Africa. All personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Users agree to the collection and use of their information as outlined in that policy.
Personal information is used solely to facilitate connections between schools and teachers on the platform. Teacher Sub Hub does not sell, trade, or share user data with third parties for marketing purposes.
All users must conduct themselves professionally on the platform. Harassment, discrimination, or abusive behaviour is strictly prohibited and may result in account termination.
Teacher Sub Hub is a facilitation platform only. We are not a party to any bookings, employment contracts, or financial transactions between schools and teachers.
Teacher Sub Hub is not liable for any payment disputes, breaches of contract, or financial disagreements between schools and teachers. Teachers and schools must resolve such disputes directly.
Teacher Sub Hub is not liable for hiring decisions, employment disputes, or employment contract breaches. Schools are solely responsible for hiring decisions and employment relationships.

Use of the Teacher Sub Hub platform is at your own risk. By using the platform, you acknowledge that you understand the limitations of our role and accept full responsibility for your bookings and hiring decisions.
